This robotic hand was co-designed by the Principal of TDI, Kweku D. Fleming. Developed for deaf-blind users, this robot duplicates the hand motions of American sign language. An engineer and architect, Fleming earned a BS in electrical engineering and a MS in mechanical engineering from Stanford University as well as a MA in architecture from the Illinois Institute of Technology and is currently a Leaders for Manufacturing Fellow at the MIT Sloan School of Management.
